The design of Balance Chair for Improving Teenage Sitting Posture
Nowdays, the long term incorrect posture for sitting may play a significant role in the high rates of teenage lumbago, hunchback and myopia in China. To solve such issues, the sitting postures of the youngsters, as one relevant factor, had been explored in this article. The physiological stresses on spine, back, legs, and feet while they sit in different postures were analyzed. Based on the research and the posal has been put forward by simulating Posvik’s Balans Chair. Combined with ergonomics principles, the new balance chair has its own characteristics of concise form, convenient operation, adjustable sitting postures. All of these features aim to improve the teenage sitting posture.
